Meeting opening and administrative matters

• The meeting opened with Acknowledgment of Country.
• The Board noted attendance, apologies, and disclosure of interests and any potential or actual conflicts related to matters on the agenda.
• The Board dealt with administrative matters and received reports from the Chair and Chief Executive Officer.

Endorsement of NCC 2025 and impact analysis for Building Ministers

• The Board discussed the updated drafting of proposed changes for NCC 2025 and agreed to present the provisions to Building Ministers.
• The Board agreed to advise Ministers of the changes made to these proposals as a result of public consultation.

Technical committee records of meetings

• The Board noted the minutes of the Building Codes Committee meetings held 6-7 August and 17-19 September and the Plumbing Code Committee meeting held 24 September 2024.

Board steering committee records of meetings

• The Board noted steering committee feedback through the Strategic Matters agenda item.

NCC 2025 support plan

• The Board noted the progress of developing an education and industry support plan for NCC 2025.

Lead free plumbing update

• The Board noted an update on the transition to lead free. 

Product certification reporting

• The Board noted the reporting provided on the operation of the Watermark and Codemark schemes.

Next meeting

• The next meeting will be in early 2025 - date to be confirmed.
